Kristyn L. Karl

About Me

I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at Stevens Institute. I teach in the Quantitative Social Science program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences

My research interests are broadly situated in the interdisciplinary field of political psychology. More narrowly, I focus on political communication and risk perception, partisan bias, and the impact of gender and emotion on political attitudes.

I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and my B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College. I am proud to be a first-generation college student and to have served as a disaster responder with AmeriCorps NCCC before joining academia.
